Hailed as a new era in aviation, Boeing’s Dreamliner has been fraught with difficulties since it first made its debut. After being grounded because of battery problems, the 787 Dreamliner was allowed into the air once again earlier this summer; however, it seems that more issues continue to be noted, and this time a Japan-bound plane had to return to its Russian base after its toilets refused to flush.

Many people raced to get tickets on Boeing’s Dreamliner when it was first launched, with their excitement for traveling on this new plane being extremely high; however, rather than launching without a hitch, Boeing’s new plane has seen many problems.

In the latest issue, the Japan Airlines (JAL) Boeing bound for Tokyo had to return to Moscow after just two hours. This was because the plane, carrying 151 passengers and crew, was not equipped with any working toilets, making the ten-hour journey impossible.

In an announcement by a spokesman, it was revealed that an electrical fault had caused the problem with the toilets. The issue had nothing to do with the battery problems noted since the plane’s launch, whereby several batteries ignited and became unsafe.

For those traveling around the world and keen to fly on some of the latest and most technologically groundbreaking aircraft, there may be cause for concern with regard to Dreamliner. With so many problems occurring, more traditional and reliable aircraft could be the safer option for those who want to ensure that their journey remains smooth and on time.
