Discovering the Untouched Exotic Wonders of Indonesia

Known for its pristine beaches and magnificent attractions, Indonesia is now attracting more tourists than before. If you love serenity and avoid throngs of people and commotion while on vacation, then Indonesia is the right place for you.

Most of us know about Bali. However, Bali is just a part of Indonesia. Indonesia in itself has numerous exotic tourism destinations beside 17000 strings of islands.

Besides tourism, another aspect the country boasts about is its culture. Indonesia is home to 300 different ethnic groups and 250 distinct languages. Besides being rich in traditional culture, it has some exotic temple and houses.


  1. Ampera Bridge
    Constructed in the year 1962 on the approval of then President Soekarno, this 1,177 meters long and 22 meters wide bridge is built on river Musi.
    Officially opened for public use in the year 1965, the bridge was renamed to Ampera Bridge, after a political turmoil in 1966 with Soekarno govt.
  2. Borobudur

    Considered to be one of the wonders of the world, Borobudur, a Hindu temple is a must see place, if you are visiting Indonesia. Highly inspired by Indian culture and tradition, this Buddhist temple is a true marvel in itself. The architectural designs and stonework of this temple is unparalleled making it one of the Wonders of Indonésie.
  3. Prambanan

    Yet another temple, Prambanan is also a magical temple according to folk story, is built only in one day.The splendor and unified architectural concept of Prambanan temple makes it a truly astonishing structure.
    Due to its unique cultural and architectural phenomenon, Prambanan temple is declared as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in the year 1991.
  4. Glodok

    This largest Chinatown of the world, Glodok is the hub of economic activity. Located in the Taman Sari district of West Jakarta, this is home to people of Chinese descent since the Dutch Colonial Era. Even in modern era, Glodok is ideally the electronic trade-centre of Jakarta.
    This place offers wide range of electronic appliances and gadgets at competitive rates. These goods are basically imported from countries like Japan, Singapore, Europe, China, and America.
  5. Selayar

    Located in the southern end of South Sulawesi, it is a group of islands known for its strips of untouched white sand beaches and crystal clear tropical waters. This 80 km. long stretch of island in Selayar is a gateway to one of the most spectacular Taka Bonerate National Park that is a home to colorful coral reefs, baby shark, sponges, a treasure of fish species like tuna, gliding past turtles and manta rays.
  6. Banda Neira
    Situated in the Maluku province of eastern Indonesia, this ten volcanic islands in the Banda Archipelago is probably the fabled Spice Islands of ancient times covering tropical-evergreens. Banda Islands is a home to two rare and lucrative spices nutmeg and mace.
    This incredible island is also known for its exquisite corals and rich ocean life, making Banda Islands not just a historically momentous destination, but also a globally recognized diving spot.

Local people are quite friendly, kind and helpful in nature. Known for its warm hospitality, Indonesia is definitely a country worth visiting.
