Whats In The Menu For Spice Lovers At China

The intestine-burning and mouth-searing spicy dishes are available in many destinations of the World but when it comes to China, there is an extra chili flavor in all such “hot and spicy” dishes that surely satisfy all those customers who have a special taste for such meals.

Lots of tasty treats, the howls of spicy pleasure and also lots of sweat are some of the significant things that you will experience while munching on the favorite spicy dishes in China. Although there are many regional cuisines in this destination and China is ultimately the food haven but the spiciest dishes belong to Yunnan, Guizhou, Chongqing, Hunan and Sichuan.

The spicy glory is represented by each single dish that you order but keep in mind that such dishes are not for the faint of throat; tongue and heart- only place an order and opt for such cuisines, if you already eat lots of spicy food.

The Ma po tofu of Sichuan is one local specialty that actually hails from Chengdu.  The story began when an old lady Chen cooked a spicy meal for all the travelers who came to the area. This special dish is made up of a liberal sprinkling of the mouth-numbing Sichuan peppercorn, ground pork, tofu and a spicy bean chili sauce.

The downtown Chengdu houses a restaurant with the name Chen Mapo Doufu, very similar to the name of the dish and here you can find the best flavors of this particular dish. The dan dan noodles is another signature dish that actually belongs to Sichuan but unlike the overseas Chinatown version, it does not contain peanut and/or sesame seed paste or the extra sugar rather the authentic and genuine delicacy is served to the beloved guests.

The actual dan dan noodle dish is composed of crunchy ground peanuts, a dollop of raw minced garlic, ground pork, blistering chili black bean paste and is topped with cilantro and scallions. The empty bowl is first carpeted with the sauce and then the unseasoned al dente noodles are placed over it.

Every single Sichuan restaurant of the country serve this spicy and specialty dish but to get the awesome flavors and the most mouth-watering version, you must try it in Chengdu- the Chengdu Dan Dan Mian restaurant is the haven of best dan dan noodle and it is settled across the street from Wuhouci Temple.

Famously called as “saliva chicken,” as every single person who has ever tasted this dish will salivate when they think about it, is another savory and spicy Chinese dish. You will be surprised to know the name of many dishes that belong to china- often weird and the names actually don’t make any sense; quite hard for a person to figure what ingredients are used to prepare the cuisine so don’t go on the name rather enquire about the ingredients and the items that have been consumed in the preparation.

The Saliva Chicken is one of those particular dishes that really don’t make any sense with its name. It’s a boiled form of chicken that is marinated in sesame oil and chili sauce and at the end the result is a fiery yet mouth-watering dish (almost 10 spices are used in marinating the dish). It’s an appetizer dish which is served in all the eateries and restaurants of Sichuan.

Although you can order these in restaurants but majorly these are available in the streets of the country.  Some other spicy specialties that you must try in China are Gan guo in Hunan, Hot and sour fish soup in Guizhou, the Hunan spicy beef, Er kuai spicy chicken in Yunnan, the Hotpot in Chongqing and Yu xiang tofu in Sichuan.

You must have visited China before for its attractions and allurements but this time, explore it for a spicy and fiery culinary experience.
